Starting the outer worlds

 

Okay, joking aside, I've now finished DDLC. and it... wasn't what I expected. I'm not, like, disappointed or anything. The story was even better than I anticipated. It's just, with its reputation of being really shocking and traumatizing, I thought it would be... (TW) a bit more murder-y and less suicide-y.. I think the really twisted thing is, I kinda wanna keep playing. I've only explored one pathway of the narrative so far, right? I wanna see how each of the other characters gets romanced, and how each of them dies I guess there's also the side stories to go through as well. But mayhaps I'll get to all of that a little later, I kinda wanna get back to the couple things I was in the middle of before HFW took over my life.

but yeah, DDLC is good, I only got it because it was on Epic for free, but I'm glad I played through it at least once, I just, idk, I realized I don't like "playing" visual novels. I feel like I need to get back into things where I have more to do with my hands, you know?

Dave the Diver is the perfect remote play game

 

Dave the diver scratches the casual game itch I was looking for similar to animal crossing

 

I had bought dragon age inquisition but it’s not compatible with steam deck! Steam refunded me pretty immediately so that was cool.

 

Deck compatibility aside, I don't think I've tried Dragon Age or anything similar on controller. Stuff like that and I'm assuming BG3 just feels like they require kbm to me

 

I love that the world gets to experience the greatness that is fallout lore and the music in the games so good

 

I swear everything I know about her is because of things like this

I prefer inquisition with a controller but I’ve only ever played origins with a mouse and keyboard. Quite frankly can’t remember if I used a controller on 2 or not, if it has controller support on PC I probably did but I don’t think it does.

 

told myself I only play an hour of Dave the diver and it felt like at least 3 I couldn’t get off it

 

I measure my time by in-game days.

 

Sometimes I just think about Firewatch. What the fuck are those devs doing? Haven’t seen or heard about their Egyptian game in a minute

 

Played around with Outer Worlds a little last weekend and really enjoyed it. In the middle of like 2 big RPGs so I don’t feel like I have the time to dedicate to it, but I’ll be stoked to return

 

It’s actually supposed to be quite a short game 20-25 hours so it might be a good option after the big ones you’re doing

 

It seems like it was put on hold and maybe cancelled. They were bought by Valve and one of the developers got involved with Half-Life Alyx and other Valve projects.

Loved The Outer Worlds, and not just because it has an ace character that makes me feel represented. The Outer Worlds is to Starfield what New Vegas is to Fallout 4.
