Went to a small all-women's indie last night. Was in a meh mood most of the day and just wasn't that into it when it first started. Cut to the end of the show where I'm screaming at them in the ring and popping for everything. Wrestling rules.

 

I should start going to local indies. The last small shows I'd go to were NXT house shows when they would make the rounds in Florida in like 2016/2017. Those shows would attract some of the most obnoxious types of wrestling fans imaginable so I would be slightly annoyed the entire show lol

"What?" chants are 10x more insufferable when they're in a rec hall with 300 people to a WWEPC trainee who hasn't even debuted on TV yet just trying to get some in-ring promo experience.

Portland has a pretty awesome indie scene. DOA regularly attracts 500-600 people every month and the crowd is fantastic. It’s full of a lot of great local talent that’s mostly from the local wrestling school. Prestige has grown a ton of puts and super indie cards every 3-4 months with a lot of talent from every company you can think of.

There sure is the BO/white trash segment of the crowd, but Portland luckily has a pretty cool wrestling community. Any sort of dumb chants or asshole behavior is quickly called out/squashed. Going to indie events in the area has definitely given me a new appreciation for wrestling and it’s a whole different kind of fun that the bigger companies can’t provide.

 

They should bring in LuchaBoar more frequently
