Tical is actually probably my least favorite of that initial wave of Wu albums (36 Chambers, Return to 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, Ironman, OB4CL) but it's still great, that's just how much fucking amazing music they put out in that short amount of time

 

Yeah, Tical is probably 5th in the initial wave of solo Wu albums for me too. But still really good. Blackout! with Redman is definitely Meth's best non crew album.

 

Blackout! 2 is actually great too

 

Meth and Redman albums are actually a huge blindspot for me. I’ll check those out.

 

I'll have to check out those recs. Tical mostly stood out for me because of the production, its dark wooziness. I also just dig Meth's flow

 

Absolutely check out Liquid Swords and Only Built 4 Cuban Lynx if you haven’t

 

OB4CL is still probably my fav hip hop album of all time

 

missed new Saba dropping, guess the No ID produced album is still coming?

 

From what I've read they weren't happy with the previous version of the album, scrapped it and started over. Now starting the rollout again

This song is great

Pretty much exactly what I expected a Kendrick diss track to sound like, think it’s a really good one but not exactly earth shattering, predict it’ll get a lot of praise

 

I thought he went crazy on that

 

he absolutely did

 

He said

“I got a child to raise, you don’t know nothing about that”

as a dad, I can’t think of anything more offensive

 

he went crazy on 3 different beats and had some really great lines in there but he didn't pull out some out of pocket reveal. Hope there is more

Some weird disses on there (similar to bars on Push Ups), but like everyone's saying it's missing the "oh shit" reactions. Which probably means this will go on forever haha
