It deserves its reputation and then some in my opinion. I pre ordered it my freshmen year of college and lost years of my life to it. And it’s saying something that in 2011-2012 a game was able to pull me away from wow for a bit. Then I did it all over again when the ps4 port came out. Now I have a new run going on PC. I will buy this game on every platform lol I’m gonna get it on switch someday

 

The fact I want to fix my Xbox just to play the fallout games because the tv show.

 

I have new Vegas on PC and ps3 but I’ve heard the PC port is rough so I might play the ps3 version

I went to Coachella fest and then Disneyland and then hung out with my family in that area so yeah about 8 days since I last saw my Xbox sadly

 

Sometimes I can juggle like three or more games at once, sometimes one game takes over my life

 

I always have one game I play with my wife and one game I play when she’s not home that she says she’s not interested in.

I'm fully onboard with them taking the piss out of Nintendo and Game Freak.

 

Eiyuden is soo Suikoden and I love it. But it also makes me sad and miss actual Suikoden and realize we're never getting a proper conclusion to that arc. I still wanted to go to Harmonia!

I have a Fire Red cart but the battery failed or some shit and I can't save. So this is good enough.

Will probably play through Crystal + Emerald after I finish this up. Been a ton of fun playing these again

 

I don’t understand why GameFreak/Nintendo won’t make ports for all of the pokemon games to be sold on their online platforms. They would sell insanely well considering how much it costs just to buy any cartridges of their DS games.

 

my brother got the DS stuff working I might toss some of this dragon quest DS ports on it

 

I’m gonna shell out for a physical fire red one day when I can afford it because that’s like my dream physical copy want (my brothers is heart gold or soul silver) but until then this’ll do. I’ve got a physical copy of blue but the remakes are so so so so so much better I think fire red is the goat Pokémon game

 

I know some people feel a little iffy with emulation etc

But my ass is 100% not going to go spend $100+ online or at a retro store to play a game that's 25+ years old

but that's just me

 

I just want it for my physical collection

 

I own a good bit of retro stuff. Mainly PS1 RPGs (Suikoden 2 is the priciest one) and some OG gameboy stuff. Sadly a lot of old GB/GBA stuff is starting to die slowly. Lot of them won’t save or even launch at this point.

 

Yeah that is a bummer about classic cartridge collecting but I’ve got enough soldering experience that I’m 99% sure I could replace a battery if I had to. Thankfully I haven’t yet but I only own a handful of physical gb and gba carts

 

also you’ve got a permanent fire red speed running version if you don’t fix it
