as beautiful as it is, I just can't find the fun in Horizon Hidden West. I just don't seem to get any stronger and the enemies are just insane bullet sponges (I know about weak spots and weaknesses). Also most quest are just mindlessly following markers.

I really tried, I think I put like 15+ hours into it.

 

A Kojima/Sam Lake collab is my dream

 

Exploiting the weaknesses though and adapting to certain enemies is part of the allure of the combat for me personally. I totally get it though. Some of the enemies(thunderjaws especially) I always nope’d out of.

 

For those that have beaten Dragon's Dogma 2....is the Guardian Gigantus mission kind of a point of no return?

I want to open that door to go through Bakbattahl without having to go all the way back around, but once I open it will that trigger end game yet? or do I actually have to go to do whatever the mission requires to get to that point first?

I already went all the way around the other way, but I dont really feel like doing that again (just yet)

 

so in my playthrough I was under the impression if you gave the wyrm crystals during a new godsway was the point of no return but apparently it’s during that quest. Progress until your objective is to go into a tower. The tower locks you in

 

so afaik you’re free to open the door

 

I was quite under leveled going into the volcanic region (I wanted to get warfarer and spearhand) and some of those mobs beat my fucking ass

Spearhand is so fuckin lit lmao

once you get the longer shield, its over. I basically just put the shield up, attack for 5 seconds, put the shield up, etc etc and you're basically untouchable

 

spearhand is incredibly powerful at the end of the game and into the post game section.

I just wish they would’ve made open world pawns a little weaker in NG+. It’s comical seeing NPCs one shotting giant enemies

you didn't ask for help so i'm gonna assume you know what you're doing and the game just isn't for you. just gonna say, i did find the "survival" tree and its valor surges very helpful in, well, as the name suggests, staying alive. i'm also like super overleveled for the main quest right now haha

 

How worth it is the OLED steam Deck? I love my OLED TV and phone for sure but a $150 price hike sounds absolutely insane. I don't wanna be spending more than my PS5 for God sakes haha

 

I really like my OLED SD. They made improvements to it beyond the screen that really sealed the deal for me.

 

What kinda improvements? Better battery?

 

I'm just stuck between a steam deck and a retroid pro 4. I mainly just wanna be able to emulate GameCube games, with Wii and steam games being a nice perk. I'm not a huge gamer.

But for me personally it was battery life can be much better and the fan is much, much quieter. Virtually every small thing was improved upon making it for a more rounded and improved experience.

 

Yakuza 4. First couple chapters after the initial and it kinda did flatline, but once I got backstory on what was going on (Chap 5? I think) my interest has raised.

 

gamecube emulation on the deck is amazing

 

Can the deck play most major PC games that people are playing these days or should I just get a PC? I have been using the same MacBook since 2014 lmao

 

If it were between a deck and a pc I would get a pc just because I love having a pc and pc gaming but I do love my deck too and use it a lot

 

I feel dumb playing the witness because gosh dang I’m struggling just after the tutorial
