As far as their post-Twisted career is concerned TAD and EIO are the stand-outs in my opinion. May ranking, without including the new one, would probably be:

Twisted > Suburban > Transmission > Exile > Element EP > Blackhawks > Paradise > American Paradox > Agents > Black out the Sky EP > Armor & Devotion

I'd say the singles are the worst songs on the album, definitely the worst sounding ones.

Unfortunately the last two albums have been pretty underwhelming for me so far. It seems like these guys definitely lost something when Jordan left.

I enjoyed this album. But yeah, production seems off for some reason. It’s not as…in your face.

Man, I’m glad I’m not the only one annoyed by this. These are cool songs, I just really can’t stop being bothered by the mix/mastering. It’s tinny, and the vocals are mixed too high. You can hear the intensity, but the mix just undermines it. It’s the first album in a while I have to adjust the eq tomake it sound adequate, but it still bothers me.

    Damn.

It is weird though. The songs and performances aren’t bad. They’re actually pretty good. But the production does sound…unfinished.

i was hoping the songs released sounded different for some reason and the album would sound better. i was wrong.

I would be curious if this was the input of the producer or the band to have it mixed this way. For someone who has worked on some major hard rock acts, I would be surprised if the producer let this one slip by him.

nothing worse than a bad post recording job to ruin years of work for the band and waiting from fans.

they probably wanted a classic skate punk sound that would fit in alongside their 90s albums but the execution is way off. It’s possible the problems started during the recording process and by the time it came to mixing there was just nothing they could do to fix and didn’t have the budget to re record anything. Or the initial mixes came back subpar but again no budget for more passes. That’s usually what happens, that or too many people in the band pulling the mixer/producer in different directions and losing sight of the end goal ala Metallica’s and justice for all

it’s such a shame when a good album is ruined by the mix.

it’s not unlistenable, but it’s definitely a bummer.

Given that it's the first album in what 5 years and there is a fairly limited listener base it seems a shame given they could do with the support.
