Houdini dropped to 42 on the Hot 100 and Training Season is at 71. Does her team release a third single hoping to score a hit or just drop the record?

Hear me out… what if there are no hit singles on this album

We reach for the longest shadow

I like both songs but neither feel like bonafide hits.

  6. The “are these songs doing well enough” discourse is so tiring.

Sorry for tiring you? Considering she's an artist who's label notoriously struggled to launch her debut, it seems relevant that on her third album they're having this issue again.

Both singles are great, hoping we get the tour info soon

She teased a new single for this week

  9. The singles are doing better than 99% of new music released. She's making millions of dollars on them. I think people have lost their minds and perspective on this topic.

Yeah she’s definitely making some good money on the songs released so far.

  11. I hear Houdini fucking everywhere - not Don't Start Now/Levitating levels of everywhere but shit's still everywhere. I'm not complaining, it's a bop.

I’d be optimistic too if I spent the majority of my life on vacation

I’d imagine another two singles unless the first one takes off. There’s an anonymity to her lyricism that doesn’t seem to be en vogue on the current pop charts — maybe not enough of an extramusical narrative to spur fan conversation.

I'm not a barometer on my own, but I'm pretty diehard for her first two albums and the two singles from this don't really do much for me

I really like the aesthetic and movement of the live performances, will try to go to the tour.

Also being released with an Extended Version. I wonder if we're going to get the entire album as extended versions eventually

Song's fine enough, 100% what I think we all expected at this point, this whole album really seems like it's going to be within a absolutely tiny sliver of a style huh

  24. Damn good pop music?

  25. Music video is already one of her best. As for the song, I feel like both Houdini and Training Season hit harder, especially in the chorus. I do appreciate the dark tinged chord progression that I don’t hear often in mainstream pop.
