  5. About to start Imaginary, gonna try to squeeze Be My Cat and Sorority Slaughter 2 in tonight as it's technically my last night of Easter break. (Likely gonna have to take a sick day Tuesday, though.)

  6. Imaginary is...not faring so well, lol. Even on adderall, I'm starting to distract myself. This does not need to be 105 minutes. Every time the neighbor lady shows up, she gives an exposition dump and it feels like a strange I Think You Should Leave sketch

  7. Sorry for triple-posting. Have we talked about what we feel are actually the scariest movies we've all seen? Because looking back on the ones that made me (besides Skinamarink because of recency), I feel like The Blair Witch Project and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre are the ones that have stuck with and really disturbed me the most, not just in a shock value way.

Agree with those two for sure.

I know you’ll disagree, but The Strangers scared the shit out of me when it came out.

  9. No, I believe that for sure. It definitely left an impact on me, whether it was positive or not. It was definitely memorable, especially amongst a sea 2000s teen horror at the time.

Yeah I’m just glad I saw it back then. I don’t think I’d have that same experience if I watched it for the first time now.

Signs is still the most effective for me, but I was in middle school when I first saw that. I wonder if it would still scare me if I saw it for the first time now.

Those Signs alien moments still hit even if the main premise is dumb in retrospect

Not a horror movie but Large Marge from Pee Wee's Big Adventure still scares me to this day.

  16. I think the only films that really stuck with me, like scared to be home alone at night for months, are The Ring, Hereditary, and Skinamarink

Rewatching 2004's "Dawn of the Dead" for the first time in like 15 years - probably my favorite take in the zombie genre. So fun and fast paced

  18. Watched You'll Never Find Me on Shudder. Love a good low budget, single location movie that focuses on atmosphere and building tension. I'm a little mixed on the 3rd act, but those first 2/3 of the movie are pretty good.

  23. Man, we really are opposites lol. I was thankful that the third act picked up and went somewhere cool, because the first hour of monologues were TOUGH for me to get through. No one talks like that!
