NEM&H is a long-running festival with a pretty good track record. Even if somebody backed out, I'd trust that it's actually an "exciting new development" regardless.

But it's always weird with shit like this. Festivals will say something really cool happened... And the line-ups usually do look cool but most of them never specify what specifically what the cool things are that happened. LOL

I thought I heard they got Slayer but I could be imagining things

considering the size of the fests slayer is playing so far, a 10k cap parking lot fest in fucking worcester seems unlikely, but it also wouldn't surprise me

Either they got Slayer or they got the bands from the Korn/Gojira/Spiritbox tour to play on an off-date on the Sunday is my guess...hope it's not wishful thinking

Appropriating 2000s American Pie-core was one thing but I draw the line at MGK trying to do 2010s Tumblr sadboi pop punk

Earlier today I was thinking about how I felt like I had grown out of pop punk and this lineup makes that feeling even more apparent

Haven't been a huge fan of Stand Atlantics newer singles but that sounds like a fun tour.

I've only heard of Scene Queen for the non Stand Atlantic bands but they're definitely somewhat known

Co headliner for stat and home team I assume? Kinda hope 2 of the openers split dates so their set length won't be too impacted. Loved every minute of their ~20 song headline set from 2022

For what it's worth, The Home Team are one of the most interesting bands in this current scene, definitely not a typical emo/punk band. They have a very groovy-heavy feeling to them. Fall Out Boy hooks over Issues riffs is probably the closest comparison. If you like any of the other bands on that lineup with Stand Atlantic, you'll probably like them too.

There's a reason Brian was the vocalist for those final Issues shows!

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I went to go see Mike Doughty in LA last night and the way the show was set up was perfect. Doors opened at 7:00. Show started a little after 8:00. 90 minute set with a 15 minute intermission. The whole thing was over by 10:00 and I was home and in bed by 11:00

I know this sort of thing doesn’t fit all bands, but damn, I wish more bands would follow this structure
