This level of cinematic quality is exactly what I was hoping for after monster hunter world

They seem to have really honed in on nailing down a distinct vibe and tone compared to the first game which skewed a little too generic fantasy at times. This takes the base palette of the first games world and really turns it into something beautiful and unique

Trying out the Knights in Tight Spaces demo, seems promising! I really, really enjoyed Fights in Tight Spaces so this seems like it might soak up my time whenever it releases.

  5. FiTS was fun until it started to feel more like a puzzle to solve rather than a deck builder, if that makes sense

I’m biased because I have extremely fond memories of playing it with a friend but I’m willing to bet it holds up. From what I remember, the builds hold slightly less importance. Visually, I think I prefer the 2D to the sequel although that’s not a knock on Risk of Rain 2 whose visual style is also very nice and transition to 3D works better than I expected.

this sums up my thought about Amy Henning's new Marvel game.

(and frankly, most Sony exclusives except Ronin)

(and reminder you can like stuff and still not think it's the way forward for the industry, see TLOU)

I don't know if Dragon's Dogma is something I'll ever pick up but I will never get tired of these videos of people's characters getting bombarded by a griffin out of nowhere lol

After a few hours in game the mtx discourse is even more infuriating because the game makes absolutely no mention of there being stuff to buy at any point in time. This is by far the least predatory mtx practice I’ve ever seen (as are previous capcom single player games with it) yet it’s the most discussion around mtx I’ve seen in years? make it make sense

It's just imbeciles like Jim Stephanie Sterling riling people up for clicks

  18. it was even funnier when people tried to make up that they sell the revive stones for when the plague goes off and people have to spend “hundreds of dollars” to finish the game

and then some kind soul found out how to just bring them back anyway

Their newest vid holy shit. I've seen people who have been fans for YEARS be like yeah nope this is too much and drop their sub over the misinformation that JSS doubled down on. Outrage culture at its finest.

I’ve been on the “Stephanie sterling is harmful to the discourse” train for ages now someone who is that miserable and negative all the time is doing nothing but poisoning the well. stark contrast between her and my boy skill up who also calls out unfair exploitative practices in the industry while still actually liking video games
