Rewarched Chicago for the first time in forever and appreciated it so much more than when I was a kid. Such fantastic performances

 

I also did not enjoy it.

 

Completely unrelated but I rewatched The Iron Giant for the first time in many years on a flight yesterday, and tonally it’s such a Ghibli yet non-Ghibli animated film that rules in every way.

 

I was thinking about finally checking out Derry Girls. Is it good?

 

I enjoyed the first season but never did finish the rest of the show.

Oh my God Twisted Metal is amazing lmao. Never would have checked it out but it auto played after finishing another show and figured "what the hell?".

Hilarious, amazing cast.

Yea I really loved TM. Cast is perfect. Story is fun and fast paced. Not sure how season 2 will out do 1, but Im buckled up and ready for the ride. Steph is the best. Love Brooklyn 99

I started watching Derry Girls at 1PM, it's 6PM and I am already on the final season. This is the quickest binge ever.

 

I don't know if you got back around to this, but to me it had its ups and down. Overall it was pretty strong with episodes 1 / 6 and the finale all being great, but it got a little bonkers and not necessarily hard to follow, but convoluted, and confusing on some motives and actions. (And the last episode dumps so much plot that I wish was revealed differently / sooner). I don't think it ever reached the peak of the 1st episode, but I enjoyed the animation / the philosophy, and the overall vibe of the world so I'd say it was well worth my time finishing it up.

Anyone have other recommendations if liked the following as far as 'anime' goes? (I go loosely with that term so don't come at me that not all of this is anime).

Neon Genesis (still watching, not very far but plan on going back to it), Cyberpunk Edge Runners/ Castlevania, Blue Eye Samurai / Pluto.

 

This is good to know- but still looking forward to watching the rest.

Im starting a Harry Potter marathon for the 100th time but this time Im watching them high.

I didnt realize Peacock was showing the extended edition versions and thought I was so high that my mind was adding extra scenes.
