I've just watched the vid yeah - in the press release for TWWFNO they alluded to a second album from the sessions and I guess this is it!

 

Finally giving this a listen and damn it’s good.

I guess waiting another week to release this was a little to on the nose

Totally assuming here but I’ll bet that this new record will be better meaning they could have just released one very strong record between the two.

 

Excited for this, like but don’t love the new song; also bracing for this to potentially be the last new music we get from them if something on it doesn’t blow up

 

Out of curiosity, what gives you this impression?

 

I really hope that isn’t true! They’re one of my fav bands, would love to see them live again.

 

a mix of life stage of the guys/seemingly not wanting to tour as much (a lot of their interviews made it sound like TWWFNO even happening was iffy), and that I’m not sure how well their last tour sold (sample of 1 but their Seattle show didn’t come particularly close to hitting capacity which was great for me personally but not great for the band) so I’m unsure how much longer the juice will be worth the squeeze when they’re making that decision again in the coming years not coming off of WAIGLY being big, and Sunset Youth immediately before that

no insider info or anything (and I hope they keep going), just a hunch

 

Song is cool. The video is similar to the Kings of Leon video for Mustang.

 

I can honestly see this being the case as well.

 

Feels like releasing an album on the same day as TSwift is a rare phenomenon where it's better for you than another day just because of the sheer amount of people that will be on the streaming services that day.

 

Not even sure if I ever listened to TWWFNO tbh. Loving April tho.

 

Revisited TWWFNO and it’s grown on me a little more.

I never thought it was a bad record but to go from an absolute stellar run of Hummingbird, Sunlit Youth, and Violent Street to this feels a little meh. Perhaps listening to both records together will change my mind but I would rather have a really strong singular record over 2 decent ones IMO.

 

First listen has been a very positive one for me
