Apologies for not voting guys - had a full-on, stressful, busy week with work. Actually re-listened to the playlist yesterday morning to refresh myself before voting, but had a long day at soccer/work afterwards and completely forgot about voting when i got home :(

Just a question with this category - if it is a one-off collaboration by four different musicians, does that count fit the criteria? I've got a few back-ups in case (one of which already is on the playlist) but if it comes from an album of collaborations by different artists, does that count?

No apologies necessary homie, just didn’t wanna see you miss the points! Soft Animal was a killer submission and I love that it kinda called back to season one lol. Sorry to hear your week was kinda shitty, hope you’re coolin out this weekend!

  8. That’s probably up to each voter on an individual basis, but I personally wouldn’t consider one off collabs on a comp to count. Part of the criteria for me is that they have to have a band name/moniker

I think it's probably best if I shift the schedule, yeah? Maybe votes due each Monday at noon or something?

  10. I’m pretty flexible on the start/end dates, my only preference is that we don’t have a 7 day turnaround? The shorter rounds like this week flow better imo. But I’m not gonna fight it if anyone really needs the extra time, there are 21 of us after all lol

Yeah honestly I think one week per round is kinda necessary for the big group, especially since we're not routinely all finishing early

With this many people, you have to account for work schedules, life, etc. I like the extended time. More time to submit and listen.

Right?? I do prefer Aim and Ignite, but Some Nights is an all-timer.

  15. I am feeling very good about my pick this round, just nervous that some people won't recognize that the members constitue a supergroup (I promise they do).

  16. I'm blaming the radio/grocery stores overplay of the singles lol

Didn't comment on the first playlist but listening to it felt like a warm breeze and I came back with a quite a few acts to keep an eye on, The Hotelier in particular. I'm not sure I've listened to the album these songs come from, and I also remember them being much screamier (?). Def have some catching up to do!

  17. Wait didn't realize my fun. comment cuts off in the middle fefjseofiej. It sounds meaner that way, my bad!!

I do agree fun. had the nickelback effect and was overplayed way too much.

I'm curious to see if there will be 21 different supergroups on this playlist. I'll be surprised if there's no repeat bands tbh

  21. Definitely was surprised the one I went with hadn’t been taken yet. But I guess that’s not to say someone after me couldn’t have submitted them too

I'll be shocked if no one else picked the same band as me, but no one picked the same song so

I’d be amazed if someone picks the same band as me. I think a lot of people don’t even know they exist.

regarding the song I submitted last round from SUNBEARS!,

@Nate_Johnson yes he absolutely sounds like Ben Gibbard and I think that's where the band/their first album came onto the radar all the way back in 2009, it was a huge comparison then and still makes sense.

@Aaron Mook good call with The Flaming Lips comparison as well, they actually collaborated with The Flaming Lips on the Beatles cover album for one track.

@Elder Lightning They have a pretty small discography so it's easy to check out. The first EP (Dream Happy Dreams), which this song is from, is the standout but the other albums are cool. After a 9-year break, they just released a new album last year which is actually quite nice
