Went to Nando's for the first time yesterday - I was impressed! I went baby style and got medium, I think I could've handled more, but incredibly tasty regardless. 4 thighs with chips and broccoli as my sides, which I was satisfied with.

Also, I've been told all my life that y'alls food is bland, but it seems to me in my 24 hours here that y'all enjoy some STRONG flavors.

As a foreigner, what's the general policy on standing at a concert here? Are folks gonna get annoyed. I mean, it's Fightstar - people are GONNA get up for that, right?

Yeah people should be standing when they come on.

English food is far from bland. Especially in London we have a vibrant food scene. For those visiting I implore you to get yourself a proper curry. Outside of India, probably some of the best in the world

Any recommendations for curry spots in the Wembley/Soho areas?

It seems Nando's pre Fightstar is the general consensus.

Gopals or Masala Zone in Soho. Not familiar enough with the Wembley area.

or if you have time to get to Brick Lane and hit the curry mile. Can’t go wrong with any of those there.

For higher end fare Dishoom rocks

Good show! Would've liked a few more songs and bigger production, BUT they crossed way more songs off my list than I would've dared hope! Glad I made the trip!

They were selling a shirt with all the album names on it, how badass would it have been if they just announced a new album by slapping the name of it on the bottom?

The hoodie was sold out straight away.

A couple of songs I would have swapped out but most of the setlist was incredible and we got Until Then so I can't complain.

I had an amazing time but I think I'm getting too old for shows. Standing for all that time hurts and it's so difficult for me to wait through support bands these days. Now I have a headache and my back and knees hurt.

I feel you! Most shows I go to these days involves us taking the seated option if available.

    hmmm

    Anyone spot Ed Sheeran?

It was surreal watching Fightstar play Wembley Arena; not a venue I ever foresaw them playing, and the place was impressively packed, aside from the odd seat and a couple of drapes right in at the back corners. My eyes were drawn to Omar at the start and he seemed to be consciously taking it all in.

No complaints about the setlist, especially given they played Hurt and Until Then, both of which were major highlights for me. For a few songs about a third to halfway through the set I was only half engaged due to a big drunk Scottish caricature in front, who initially drew my concern and then just annoyed us all. Truth be told, it wasn't the first hug or even the second that caught me out: it was the sloppy kiss on the hand. Thankfully, his late arriving mate dragged him off with a mixture of persuasion and force before one particularly exasperated guy considered throwing fists.

Thoroughly enjoyed them making full use of the pyro, as out of time as it mostly was. Charlie still doesn't really know what to say between songs haha — was half expecting him to introduce Mono as “Mo-fucking-no”.

Overall, not quite as visceral and charged as the reunion show at the Forum — which was, frighteningly, almost ten years ago now — but still a very special one-off. Wembley Arena still feels like a major milestone for any band and it's a really cool thing to hear songs you consumed when you were 12 or 13 played on that stage.

I was at that one tiny Busted show in Los Angeles in 2017, and I shook Charlie's hand afterwards and asked him when Fightstar was coming to the States. He laughed and said, "We're working on it, mate!"

Guess they're still working on it.

I always forget how busy and built-up it is around that part of Wembley now. When I was at high school I did a week's work experience at Wembley Drum Centre just round the corner, and every day I took my lunch and ate in the area between the arena and the stadium. I don't think any of the restaurants or shopping centre had been built then, and I'd barely see a soul for the whole hour.

You just get lost around there now.

Listened to Until Then all weekend. That very early stuff has this sense of release, of angst and catharsis that's not sanded down or consciously channelled. It's the least polished version of Fightstar. But it's easily my favourite.

I ordered one too and alongside postage, I’m looking at $130AUD just about. I don’t own any Fightstar merch, so this will one and done I’m afraid.
