Adrianne Lenker and Katie Crutchfield on the same exact day is basically heaven for me.

I remember Saint Cloud being so immediately unimpeachable. You get through “Oxbow” which is a cool misdirection, and then you get the 4 great singles and go hmm maybe this thing will be front loaded and then you get two trilogies of incredible runs. An uptempo run of Hell>Witches>War and then the slow down of Arkadelphia>Ruby Falls>St. Cloud. Somehow each set of songs is better than the last.

Was The Eye a single? Maybe it wasn’t. Can’t remember.

I don't have any idea what songs were singles besides Lilacs but all the songs are great

Haha I know, after I made the joke I was like yea this doesn’t work, but was too lazy to change/clarify.

    Folkenstein? Is this something?

This is a solid 1a/b to Mannequin Pussy for early AOTY contenders.

Anyone have any inside info or speculation on why she's playing her record release show in Chicago? Not that I'm complaining.

So it's part of a sober concert series that was started in January this year. Lala Lala played the Empty Bottle earlier this year as part of it. They still sell alcohol at the show but promote the mocktails. That's the best connection I can make.
