Roboto is the best DIY space not only in Pittsburgh, but probably the US. Every band in this scene who comes through Pittsburgh plays here. They’re so close to hitting their goal and being able to buy the building so it stays open for generations to come. If you have a few bucks, please consider throwing it their way. sweet album from Topiary creatures that came out at the beginning of the month. FFO Glass Beach, Special Explosion, Fireworks’ newest album, chiptune music

 

Anyone ever listen to David Kilgour? New Zealand songwriter, put out some phenomenal albums in the early 90s. It’s got a twangy emo/indie feel to it, I think this album in particular has a lot of crossover appeal. Check out if you’re a fan of Jimmy Eat World’s Clarity, the American Analog Set, Owen, Wild Pink, LVL Up, Wilco… a mix of vibes.

 

The most recent Mom Jeans album is finally growing on me. Circus Clown and Ten Minutes are standouts.

Can anyone recommend any Spotify playlists for fresh new emo music? Preferably playlists that get updates weekly/regularly. I like Keegan's Camp Trash Fridays but wondering if there's more options.
