I mean, it was a pretty stupid question to ask a manager who just lost to a big rival, particularly when the team has played a shitload of games and had to cobble together a team at times using the academy, because of a bad run of injuries. If you're going to insist on doing media interviews with anyone from the losing side, you're always running the risk of dealing with some short fuses.

 

I don't know. I think calling out shitty questions or giving non-answers is fine, I think trying to fat shame is a bit weird.

 

Klopp has always been a sore loser. Seems to get a free pass for some reason, but it's not the first time he's done something like that

 

I didn't even notice that element of it. Given how garbled his initial response was, I thought he was saying the guy was unfit to ask questions. Didn't cross my mind that he meant physically unfit. That's unnecessary and pretty childish if that's what he was getting at.

A lot of top level managers (or even just people involved in any pro sport) are bad losers. Moyes can be a particularly ugly one. Pep can be a completely lunatic when the mood takes him. I think Klopp maybe slightly gets away with it because he's quite authentically a dickhead when he loses. That doesn't bother me as much as when managers come out with absolutely deranged stuff when they've lost. I don't know, maybe that's just me.
