This looks great, but something about Douglas' performance seems slightly off, like he was miscast for this. I'll watch, but I don't know if this will be better than the all timer episode of the HBO John Adams miniseries about the same thing.

Tokyo Vice is fantastic, and with what was revealed towards the end of the recent episode, next week should be good. Cool to see Minnesota involved in the plot, haha

 

Also, new Apple series "Manhunt", about the search for John Wilkes Booth, is really good

 

I remember the City Hunter anime being pretty entertaining, this looks like it could be silly fun.

 

Probably going to catch up on Tokyo Vice after Shōgun is done, and I watch Three Body Problem. I'm trying not to have too many shows going on at the same time this year.

 

I'm way behind too. Gonna try to binge Tokyo Vice S2, Shogun and Masters of Air soon since they're all wrapping up.

 

Yeah Jake returning back to the States was a nice change of pace. Overall I'm enjoying this season way more than S1. S1 was good but this season has been nailing it on all fronts.

Yep, watched both episodes earlier this AM. Really liking it, wasn't expecting to be this into it. Apple has such good output!

 

Can’t say I was fully on board with the Vince Staples Show. A couple of fun moments but overall left me scratching my head and wondering the point. It largely felt incomplete and scattershot, even on a scene-by-scene level.

Just started Pluto and damn, what a first episode. Loved the 2nd half story with the composer and North 2.

Im doing the dub and enjoying it. Nothing feels awkard or stilted so far.

I’ve been paying $2 for stars for like a year because every time I go to cancel they extend the promo. I got 3 months of paramount+ when I tried to cancel last time, hoping they do that again when I cancel in May

 

I agree about it being an extremely strong pilot—that second half was like a movie on its own.

Haven’t been able to catch the rest of the season yet because I’m on vacation but that first episode was really promising.
