DiabolikDVD is a good Twitter follow and probably my favorite place to buy from if I'm not buying direct from a distributor

Oh Severin is a good shout, they have some really cool boxsets out there.

88Films is another shout though you are mostly gonna be importing if you want their stuff (Their Dragons Forever 4K is sick)

okay, super dumb question... when a VHS/DVD is considered "out of print" what exactly does that mean? aren't all/most VHS/DVDs not being printed anymore?

It means that no new copies will be made of that product

DVDs are still the biggest physical media seller actually

I thought it was that simple, but I guess I'm questioning things because, I got a copy of Bebe's Kids on VHS and it's listed as OOP but I also got a copy of Honey I Shrunk the Kids on VHS and it's not listed a OOP, so are they still making new copies of Honey I Shrunk the Kids on VHS?

Fair question. Just what seems to be the general consensus online.

    Maybe I should rephrase...

There are VHS tapes that are commonly referred to as out of print, but wasn't A History of Violence the last VHS printed? So aren't all VHS tapes out of print?

Yes you should consider most VHS absolutely out of print. There are a few boutique labels that print limited runs off films on VHS but it's usually indie films or cult classics

Okay, that's what I thought. Thanks.

So people listing certain titles (like Bebe's Kids) as out of print, aren't incorrect, but it just kind of goes without saying?

I think OOP in that case could just be short hand for "This Shit is Hard to Find" compared to the probably millions of copies of Terminator 2 and Titanic on VHS at least.

My guess is that if you are speaking about eBay, it's simply that some sellers use OOP as a sales tool to get you to click whereas others don't
