tbh, this is kinda terrible after an unexpected reality.

I didn't mind it, but the track didn't really go anywhere

 

"Caught In the Treads" still rips, so I'm hoping "The Black Curtain" makes more sense in the context of the album, like it leads into an absolute face ripper or something.

 

Yeah idk how I feel about this track, liked Caught in the Treads though

 

I like it

 

It just feels like such a dud after An Unexpected Reality. Both the grind tracks and the doom track on that were damn near perfect...this just feels like Amon Amarth or mediocre era In Flames with some HM2 loaded on for good measure. If it were anybody else, I might give it a pass, but these guys have never put out any less than subpar material prior to this.

On the bright side, this was a nice pallete cleanser to discover today out of Australia.

 

ugh portrayal of guilt is playing tonight, but it's 40 minutes away and they don't go on until 10 or 10:30
