I had a weird dream that I was in a crowd of swifties and everyone was dressed to match their favorite album era and were getting in fights over which era was the best. Oddly my dream self was team Speak Now.

Exactly! Put them all out there at once. The current model just seems so blatantly "Push the die-hards to buy 3-4 copies of my album," which IMO is borderline predatory considering how insane some of her fans are.

This. I really don't care about the variant thing, it's the fact that I can't all the bonus tracks on one vinyl. Do all the colors and covers you want, but don't split the songs up. Ugh

 

If anything I would think releasing em all at once would push more fans to buy them all - if you can’t choose, you get em all. If you release all one at a time, more time for buyers remorse to sink in.

That said, should def release all at once, no vinyl-exclusive songs. I recently canceled my first Ariana grande preorder because I like a subsequent cover better. Might cancel my original TTPD for the black dog one, just a waste of e-commerce transactions that could’ve been avoided.

hell yeah, glad I didn’t preorder. I do like that clear variant

 

Would’ve gone for red for sure, but have no desire for clear. Ended up canceling my pre-order manuscript for black dog though.

 

yeah, seriously doubt there will be a physical release with all the bonus tracks. probably gonna hold off until i hear all the tracks.

 

The weird thing with this album release, which feels moreso than the last few, is how little traditional buzz there is because of lack of information. There was excitement when it was announced, discussion through the special version announcements, but really just.... Nothing else. I barely remember it's coming and honestly don't even know when it's out.

I think it's completely unique to her position that she can do a release with no singles, but it gives the whole "rollout" a weird feeling of a surprise release without the surprise part

 

She did the same rollout with Midnights, but I agree something does feel different about it

 

I was thinking maybe part of it is because there's the Eras tour, and the Eras tour movie release, and her new romance, and maybe these things kinda take the main focus away from the album a bit?

 

I just can’t wait to see what happens with the set list. I assume some trimming of folklore and midnights to make room.
