$5 to see The Antlers Hospice anniversary tour in 2019, but it was a resale ticket

I lied: it was the Yellowcard $2 Bill show for MTV2 back in 2006 and my local San Diego venue. Hellogoodbye opened. Hell yeah then. Hell yeah now.

I’ve got tons of tickets by waiting until the very last second on stubhub for like $5-$10. I’ve done that for Father John Misty, Fall Out Boy, Tinashe, Samia, etc in the last few years

$15 for Driveways but they’re not too big of a band. Got $75 Taylor Swift in 2020 but that show got canceled

I really haven’t gotten any great deals for bigger shows because I avoid buying from resellers but…

In September 2023 I saw Less Than Jake, Yellowcard, and Relient K for $5. That was pretty cool.

Pavement for $4. Nothing better than resale tickets the night of, for shows that were announced and sold out way too far in advance.

In I think 2013 I got $8 tickets to see Circa Survive/Coheed and Cambria/Janes Addiction/Alice in Chains. Not even stubhub, it was a Ticketmaster price drop due to really poor sales

I got a $20 lawn seat for Green Day in 2010. I think that’s the only real bargain I’ve ever gotten concert-wise

Seeing Young the Giant for $7 at a food festival a few years ago was very dope too

Donated a children’s book to get into Summerfest to see Taking Back Sunday… then while in line at the American
Family house for a 3eb acoustic set an Am Fam employee started offering free vip wristbands, ended up on the guardrail

2005 Fueled by Ramen tour with FOB, midtown, the academy is, and gym class heroes… bogo tickets including 2 drink vouchers. Probably like $20 total for two of us

Metallica at Metro in 2021, tickets were only $20. Seeing one of my favorite Metal bands in a small venue for such a low price it's a once in a lifetime experience.

Saw Jay Z for free in 2008 as part of his Obama campaign. I remember going to the show thinking since it was a free show we were gonna get some half-assed 25 minute show but we got the whole thing.

Also saw Stone Temple Pilots free…twice. Both times they came to venues where my friend’s company were sponsors and got a bunch of free tickets.

Yeah, actually… I’ve won tickets to a handful of shows, but one time I got hooked up with free tix for The Offspring. That was pretty sick

Man if i wasn’t raising tiny humans I’d hit up both Sea Hear and Oceans Calling. Once you hit 40, you just want to gaze out at the horizon as gentle jams take you away.

I worked at McDonald’s and someone handed me free tickets for this in the drive thru

I bought tickets to the Yeezus tour (Kanye west with Kendrick Lamar opening) two hours before the show for 60 a piece for nosebleeds. Got to the show and it was barely sold so they upgraded us to the 100’s and then we snuck down to the floor

Oh and I saw foo fighters at the Ryman (2700 cap) on the sonic highways tour for 20 bucks

Wow, good for Bleachers. that’s huge,
I never got into their earlier stuff, but every single for this new album has been fantastic. Hope it pushes them to the next level

That would be my best free/cheap experience. I won a ticket from the "Warped Panel" in '07 but I had to hand out surveys to people in the crowd before the gates opened. I also got to pick one non-headliner band to watch from the back of the stage and I picked NFG.
