There’s so many fests where I ask why is this a thing because I am a hater and I believe there is too many fests out there

I'd imagine this festival appeals mostly to people from the tri-state area who want to enjoy a bunch of rock music by the ocean. Also guessing the draw is primarily in the top two lines. Particularly for Sunday (e.g., a bunch of people who would go to see Springsteen anytime he comes around).

EDIT: And like @troyplaysbass, if this were my local festival I would 100% go to the Sunday date. Springsteen, Gaslight Anthem, and Gogol Bordello are worth the price of admission.

  4. A $160 one-day ticket is a legitimately great deal for Springsteen tickets these days, especially if you want to be reasonably close. It definitely doesn't feel like a "travel to it from states away" festival, but it's reasonably well curated, and if it was in my area, I'd be stoked.

For sure a good deal on Springsteen alone though! After I typed this I checked the comments on IG & I'm definitely not alone. I'm being completely serious, Kool & the Gang & The Aces are my top artists on the entire festival haha

Parents between the ages of 40-50 across the tri-state area always eat this festival up and sing its praises. Springsteen alone, especially in his hometown, is gonna draw huge. And Noah Kahan is huge with the youngings now, so that'll do well for single day tickets too.

I went three years ago when PJ played and I had a great time…but standing on the beach sucks and it’s the only place to go for the main stage when the boardwalk gets packed also.there also was no food or drink within a 10 min walk of the main stage…also parking is a nightmare if you don’t go early !

Anyone ever buy a ticket and immediately regret it? Bought a cage the elephant pit ticket, it’s a very small pit in a seated amphitheater (Blossom). $200 total. After checkout regretted spending that much for an act I’m not the biggest fan of

Asbury Park is in such a weird spot. It's like...the direct middle point between NYC and Philly (but probably more spiritually Philly suburbs). Train station is far so it's mostly NJ suburban people who attend.

The pit sells out really quick. Maybe 300 tickets of the 5700 seated pavilion. Impulse decision to checkout. I’m sure I could sell it, but payout wouldn’t be until the show and there’s a million other shows I want to go to this summer.

Both nights have stadium level headliners and the Boss is royalty in NJ. The lower level is pretty weak but if you are into a chill vibe this is a really good lineup

I dont make a $200 ticket purchase lightly, but thats just me.

In other news, I'm seeing a 2 band bill tonight. Great news, right?

    1st band @ 9
    2nd band @ 10

I’ve most definitely spent more on a concert in the heat of the moment than I intended to. It happens

Opposite side of the coin: What's the best deal you ever got on a show that wasn't free?

I got a fourth row ticket to see Third Eye Blind in 2017, and I paid $3 to see Motionless in White/Ice Nine Kills the day of the show because Black Veil Brides dropped the show in 2022.

I have many shows that I paid $6+ fees on stubhub before day of. Just did both The Maine and Story of the Year last year for under $10

I paid $1 for separate Fiona Apple and The Strokes shows back in the day. Both were auctions on eBay, and the seller spelled their names incorrectly. Whoops!

Other than that, the best deal where I paid face value was a 92 cent Coheed/MCR show. Thanks, K-Rock (RIP).
