What are walk-up songs generally like?

 

Talking about baseball specifically, I don’t think there’s a specific sound to them but the key is that they’re only 15 seconds or less of music and they’re played multiple times per game. They could start at any point in the song too. I think wrestling music plays a lot more of the song and only when entering/leaving as a winner.

I’m gonna do a walk up song and specify the start time of the clip for clarity.

 

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking about Tenacious D during that Coheed song.

 

Marianas Trench does play live (I have seen them in fact) but they do use a ton of backing tracks because they basically have to.

 

They're generally probably more fun choices in the MLB, but when I was in high school, I wanted the first 15-20 seconds of this lying world:

 

Yeah the idea is a song (or part of a song, like heartstrings said) that you'd want playing as a thousand eyes are on you entering a stadium.

 

This round should make for a fun playlist. Sorry for the 10 minute song last round hahaha

My problem is I’m trying to stay true to myself while trying to pander to you all AND everyone in the bleachers (presumably) cheering me on!!! It’s a lot of pressure.

I have a whole page worth of hype songs written down because me and my buddies do a similar thing for our fantasy football draft each year.

 

I went with the first thing that popped into my head and I feel like it works for both parts of the prompt.

I also think I’m pretty firmly in 2nd place and don’t think this song will ruin that.
