I was just talking with someone about how I miss that Naked Gun style of comedy. I doubt it'll work though.

 

Yeah I felt that recently after rewatching Airplane! and Blazing Saddles for the first time in awhile. We had nearly 20 years of Apatow/McKay style improv'd line comedy films. Bring back a mile a minute snappy puns and goofy visual gags.

 

It's directed by one of the Lonely Island guys so that gives me hope

“Angie Tribeca” was the closest to the feel of the Zuckers/Abrahams. Was pretty funny, but maybe not enough for multiple seasons.

 

Tribeca was a fun one for sure
