Oh yeah I had Sling for a little bit before we settled on Hulu but I don’t think there was anything I watched live around that time, so I don’t really remember. We had YouTube TV or whatever it’s called before that too but that one just kinda sucked in general imo.

 

I can't imagine going back to watching just regular old TV, but then again, after I stopped paying for Spotify I started using the radio in the car

Paying to stream live TV tho? Idk

 

I only pay the difference. The live TV is for the boomers, not me. Lol I just throw on the Food Network or Investigation Discovery once in awhile until the same 6 loud ads play over and over, driving me crazy, and I vow off live TV. Rinse repeat

 

people are really attached to live TV for some reason

my parents use my Plex to watch movies, but the only time they'll watch a current TV show on it is if it's something they miss live. I offer week after week ("hey, no commercials") but they insist on watching live for whatever reason

 

look there are days I can't pick a show and live tv makes it easier, every streaming service simultaneously has every show and nothing

 

I think sports is a huge factor for people keeping traditional TV. I do miss just channel surfing and putting on what's on instead having to make a specific choice, especially when I just want something on in the background. Pluto and the like fulfilled that void for a while, but the commercials are so frequent, niche, and repetitive that it's hard to watch for me now.

 

this I can understand, but specifically scheduling your night so you don't miss The Good Doctor is wild

 

People aren't content quality robots, they get conditioned and have habits. Tv watching becomes a social experience and ritual

 

I definitely feel that sort of paralysis from having almost unlimited choices so I end up watching WatchMojo Top Tens.

I don't watch TV live, but I use YouTube TV to record live TV for me

 

Sometimes it’s nice to browse live tv and throw on some movie you’ve seen 15 times because you’re leaving in 20 minutes and can’t start something new.

she also said she grew close to jake on set and has done press with fassbender. i also just find it impossible to believe it's ewan. it's gotta be the rock

I believe the director came to his defense and flat out denied at least most of the claims. The movie never went into production anyway so it wasn’t even onset behavior. It honestly sounded like the dude just wanted to get fired from the movie, if it is actually true.

 

Could technically be Emily Blunt too

It can’t possibly be any of the 3 actors we all mostly like as a collective so it must be the rock

 

Also yeah we still have cable specifically because I don't want to pick what to watch all the time. Channel surfing is great, I see movies and reruns of shows I like all the time, and also all the time movies I completely forgot existed pop up and I'm like oh haven't seen this in a while and leave it on.
