there was initially a mention of an aftershow, wonder if that was just a rumor or was it mentioned on the failed livestream.

Guessing Boys Like Girls, Mayday, and Knuckle Puck are on it since they’re all on the So What lineup

    idk man

2019 was half a decade ago. As far as I know, every artist on there has one or two more albums since then. I don't hate it that much.

That lineup is incredibly stagnant and all of those bands tour a ton. It would be a fun day, but there’s nothing can’t miss on that lineup.

She does but it's not sad summer from what I was told but it's something I think this site will dig.

Feels like Sad Summer realized last year’s lineup had no cohesion and now they’ve overcorrected and have no diversity of sound or new headliners

    that lineup is booty (derogatory)

Sad Summer is just a repeat of bands who have played previously or bands who tour constantly anyways. There's no point to going IMHO. I know there's only so many (popular) pop punk bands out there, but still. Is there really an incentive to go if you know all of these bands will be back in your area likely within a year (and were likely in your city not too long ago)?

this is exactly how I feel. I’ve seen all but 2 of these artists live before and all at least once since like 2019? I’d have a blast if I went but I don’t feel the need to go. Maybe if I can grab tix during concert week.

  22. Sounds like "sad summer" is an apt name for their fest this year haha

Tour packages like this year's Sad Summer is perfect for someone like me. Yes, all these bands tour constantly, but I don't get the chance to go to as many shows as I used to. Especially since I've moved out of a major city. Getting to catch The Maine, Knuckle Punk, Real Friends, The Wonder Years and Daisy Grenade in one day sounds like a lot of fun.

Last year they seemed to diversify the lineup a bit and I guess that didn’t work so they are back to bands sounding very similar.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I’ve said this before, but honestly, if Sad Summer wants to continue, they’ll really have to branch out and get a fresher mix of bands in play. I could see interest waning if they just have the same lineup every year
