honestly, FEVER 333 is pretty good overall. Many moments of brilliance but also moments of ehhhh. I think their album Strength in Numbers is the most interesting thing they've released, there's kinda a 3-part song throughout the album that I think compromises some of the highest points. the first EP (Made in America) is the most straightforward and the latest (Wrong Generation) is solid but kinda forgettable. All that being said, the latest single is... probably their worst thing yet (Swing) so I have no idea what is next

  2. Fever 333 has this habit of keeping really bad parts of a song in what is otherwise a good song. Usually it's the poppiest bit of it that just turns me off. It's pretty consistent, I wish they had an editor/producer that would really hone the songs more. But, you know, it seems to be working for them so I guess it's just not for me.

  3. Just announced is a collab with Enter Shikari. letlive's set opening for the latter in 2011 remains the wildest show I've ever seen, with Jason doing his usual antics lol

I’ll never forget on warped in 2013, I can’t recall what city it was but it was one where the stage was near water and Jason at the end of the set jumped off stage and got in a canoe and paddled away

Revisiting If I’m The Devil… for the first time in awhile. While I’ve always loved this record, I think it continues to age beautifully. Colored Copper Quiet is such a gorgeous album closer.

I know people didn’t like this one as much at the time due to Jason’s focus shifting towards singing over screaming, but that’s precisely why I love it so much. Wish he had another project where he leaned even harder into that aspect in contrast to Fever’s screams.

He has some solo stuff that he hasn’t released, and honestly I don’t know if he ever will, but it’s fucking beautiful. It’s nothing like any of his other work. It’s like his take on soul, R&B, and Michael Jackson style pop all in one. I can’t even count how many times I’ve pleaded with him to get it out there lol

I just listened to it a few weeks ago and thought it was mostly terrible haha

I strongly disliked that album. I pre-ordered it on vinyl and when it came I posted a picture of it on my Instagram and said how disappointed I was in it and Jason liked it lol. made me feel super guilty, but it just wasn't for me.

For me it's the epitome of wanting to "try new things" but the things don't result in good music

I like some stuff on it, but it's also been awhile since I've listened to it

The opener is one of the coolest things the band has done but overall very messy record

  12. This new Fever song is the first Jason song I've just straight up enjoyed since letlive (yes Pressure Cracks is fine... but pretty generic). Wasn't even originally planning on listening to it but I'm glad I did.

  13. My problem with If I'm The Devil is it removes pretty much everything that made Fake History and The Blackest Beautiful unique, even though I'm aware they wear their influences on the sleeve, and what remains is generic alt rock that not even Jason's voice is enough to carry. I do like the couple songs that lean more into soul or are less anthemic but the rest goes in one ear out the other.

yeah i can barely remember any songs from it, but the end of offensive song gets me as hype as any other peak letlive moment tbh.

It’s my least favorite letlive record, but it has a couple of my all time favorite letlive songs

oh damn you're right, it was 2013. my bad. it does look similar to the cover art of the album though so I still think it has something to do with that record

  21. And the post says 11, which the record turns in a couple months. Really hoping it finally comes true

I was on that warped when it came out and there couldn’t have been more hype around them and then a flatter response. Those songs would go so crazy live. Real shame how it sounds on record.
