Caved and bought a single seat for the Panic! At the Disco tour. Has anyone else attended a seated show alone before?

 

I went to Brand New this summer and dragged a friend who had absolutely no interest in being there. I was essentially alone all night since he was staring at his phone, didn't bother me at all. I actually enjoy going to shows alone, just chit chat with the people around you if that's your thing.

 

I go to general admission shows alone all the time, but this will be my first seated show alone. I'm sure the experience won't be too different.

 

One thing I like about GA shows alone is you're free to go where you want and when without worrying about anyone else. Seated you lose the ability to move around but otherwise it's more or less the same.

 

I had a single seat a few rows back for Fall Out Boy/Wiz Khalifa and was first row for blink/ADTR/ATL. All of my friends had lawn seats but there was no way you'd catch me standing in the back for either of those shows. Hung out with everyone before the show and walked around in between sets so it wasn't like I was completely alone the entire night.

 

I've been to a couple stadium shows alone and i kinda like it better because it forces you to chat with the people seated around you!

 

I am a bit of an introvert so sometimes I totally am cool with going to shows solo. I think it can all depend on the show/situation though. Like I just saw Brand New last week with my brother and I haven't seen a show with him in about five years so that was really cool.

Anyways, I would say don't feel self-conscious about it or anything. Plenty of people go alone and I doubt there will be people sitting around judging you or anything.

 

I went to see Letlive and Seahaven alone in the Summer and it was fine. It's definitely a little boring in between bands and during bands you don't like but it's fine most of the time haha

I go to GA shows alone pretty frequently, but never a seated show. Silly question but do you guys buy a single ticket in a section that looks pretty full so that you'll have randoms to talk to? lol

 

In this case, I just bought the best available single seat in the price range I was looking for.

 

This is what I do too. I feel a perk of going solo is that you can tend to get much better seats due to there being one-offs closer usually than pairs.

Suicidal Tendencies had to drop off their headliner so Madball is playing some small venue shows in Florida if anyone is in the area.

 

I wonder how well these will do on a couple days notice. Might hit up the Backbooth show if I can.

 

I'm guessing they won't be back in the US until early 2018, unless they're on warped tour.

MAYBE a late 2017 run if they're not on warped, but I doubt even that to be honest.

 

It's fine with me. They hit North America hard supporting Ire; 2 headline tours and the ADTR support tour. They need to hit some other neglected areas.

 

I saw them three times this year!

Mother of God. Why can't the US do a lineup like this?!? Rock on the Range is the biggest rock festival in the US and their lineups are always rehashed with A7X, Korn, 5FDP and Rob Zombie.

Seeing that it's a four day festival, I expect more bands to get announced. But the headliners are great!

 

Those were my four favorite bands in middle school holy shit. I'd kill to see that in the US
