How much did it jump? I had a 425 LST last year and gained 3-4 more mph in ballspeed on average going to a TSR3. I love it ane I’ve never been longer on big hits, but miss the point and shoot feel and forgiveness of the Ping.

Coming from a PXG 0311 gen 5, not a particularly fast driver, jumping like 5-6mph.
Most impressed with ball speed on the mis hits like you said it’s extremely forgiving, hit it off the toe and only lose a couple mph

Ludvig vs Wyndham would have been a great watch and I’m sad we missed out on it. Two flushers who absolutely murder the ball and hit great irons, but aren’t always great putters (Clark’s Saturday hot streak notwithstanding). It would have been the drama the tour needed on a Sunday.

Viktor AND Xander withdrew from the WM today :eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes:

  6. YouTube recommended I watch the 2015 Masters Sunday broadcast today. It just made me think… will we ever see that Spieth again? The composure, the swagger, the killer instinct. It feels like it’s dead and that makes me sad.

So apparently, after seeing multiple tiktoks confirm, at some point the gates were so overwhelmed by patrons that they just said fuck it and stopped checking tickets letting literally anyone and everyone into the tournament so as soon as this happened they stopped selling booze bc there was no way to successfully ID everyone who just came in off the street lol

someones gettin fired and this tournament is gonna look a WHOOLE lot different next year

    Jesus. That’s bad.

Europeans and even Australians can make getting buzzed look like a swell party at a golf tournament. We have ONE tournament (on the PGA) that embraces it and it creates opportunity for all our maximalism and worst instincts to be a public spectacle.

its objectively cool and great that someone with a story like Charley Hoffman's was in a playoff to win a PGA tour event like this, but, i'll be honest man, I completely lost interest in this once the big names were out of the picture. and the problem is, there are just so few and few 'big names' left in the PGA. where was Rory this week? Morikawa? I know Viktor and Xander were late WDs but, the LIV impact is sooooooooooo glaring here. I also don't know why, with the insane popularity of it, this wasn't one of the elevated events.

I wonder if the PGA is scared to make this an elevated event because if a half a million people show up for this with only a few big names - I can't imagine the insanity if the majority of the big names are there?

Tiger press conference in an hour. Excited to see what he has to say.

Do I think Sun Day Red is the best logo/branding he could have come out with? Not really. Although it has to be near impossible to match anything he did with Nike - especially out of the gate. However, I don't hate it and I think it will grow on me.

The thing I fund funny is the people making the most noise about "how bad the logo is compared to the classic TW" are the same people who will 100% be buying his new stuff.

  19. I think the logo looks awesome on a hat or a polo. I’m just not a fan of some of the designs I saw. I’ll definitely grab a hat though.

Logo looks way better on him than it did on the mannequin. I don’t love that it’s not centered on polos though. That works if it’s small enough (Bad Birdie, etc) but otherwise it’s out of proportion. But the hat looked great.

  21. I just upgraded my putter for this coming season. I got the new Ping Anser. I used to always use a blade (TaylorMade Daytona OS) which I had for four years.

I upgraded last year to a TaylorMade Spider and at first I loved it because it was new and exciting but I just never really got comfortable with it. I decided to go back to the blade and when I hit some putts with the Anser, I had to have it.

I own 5 Scotty’s via buying and trading various clubs. Two are investments and I game one while messing around in my office with the other two during the day.

I still don’t putt as well as I did as a 17 year old with a used Ping Anser 4 that I foolishly sold. Bought four more since and they have never had the same magic. I would give up 4/5 of those Scotty’s to get it back.

I am playing ping everything is except for wedges now and it’s all awesome, not the same like brand presence as the other big manufacturers but hard to beat their product

  25. I know it’s not just about the driver and it’s obviously about mechanics too but the Ping driver literally changed how I feel when I swing it. It just feels so much better than my last two. My TaylorMade irons are going strong but when I need new ones, I’ll definitely go to Ping.
