Player's Log: Trails of Cold Steel IV.

Some more thoughts about the way Falcom does relationships in the Trails series and how they make distinct what they consider canon vs. what the player might pursue.

I just did another bonding event with Alisa, and that's what brought this to mind.

In the Crossbell games, Lloyd's bonding events with Noel, Tio, and Rixia have undertones, the former even going so far as to implicate that she wants a relationship, but Elie is the one who very clearly and in no uncertain terms shares a love confession scene with Lloyd.

By the same token, for Rean up until Cold Steel IV, he and Alisa have had more explicit interactions, and actually had their own love confession scene in Cold Steel II, but they backed off of that for one reason or another in III going into IV.

Now here in IV, everyone is confessing their love to Rean, one after another. So how do they distinguish Alisa from the others? By having Rean take the initiative. In the latest scene I just watched, Rean reached out to Alisa about his hopes for their relationship, instead of the other way around.

I still absolutely plan to play him like a harem king when it comes to final bonding time, but it's interesting to see the subtle difference in approach Falcom takes to separate one path from the others.

It's also definitely not a Pokemon game.

It's a survival game with Pokemon like creatures. It doesn't fill the same space.

Anyone know if there is away to map the dual sense touch pad to a button on the backbone? Remote playing FF7R and it would be nice to be able to press a button to check enemy info rather than double tapping the screen.

me and my family gave up on palworld and Fortnite hasn’t been so fun so I told them let’s play the TMNT shredders revenge game and that’s pretty fun
