I think Jones is clearly joking around and people are taking it wayyyyy to seriously.

 

quotes always read so much worse, harsher, or more negative without accompanying video/audio

Jones is clearly being cheeky in the video and Klopp is so obviously joking, even some other reporter can be heard saying "it's a joke"

and of course people don't have to like the jokes but there is just so obviously nothing serious here

but it makes for good outrage bait on twitter and whatnot and that's what really counts

 

Klopp loves to joke about Refs, VAR, replaying matches, etc. too.

I don't post in this forum often if at all but I just came back from a European trip and went to an AC Milan match and a Swiss League match. San Siro might've been the best stadium/atmosphere I've ever been to in and I've been to a ton across the US, Canada, England, The Netherlands and France.

 

As an Ajax fan, I'm very happy Henderson has joined the club as we need leadership and stability in midfield. That being said, there has to be better CDM options for England right now? I really only follow USMNT.

 

There are, and have been for a while. If we're being extremely generous to Southgate, he's picked for leadership qualities, pressing, organisation. But from a purely footballing perspective, he should be no where near the squad - certainly since he went to Saudi, but probably before then too.

One of the big criticisms of Southgate is that he has his favourites - Kalvin Phillips is another example.

 

Not a Liverpool fan, quite the opposite in fact, but Curtis Jones is just one player who should be given a chance alongside Rice and Bellingham. I just know Southgate will favour Henderson's experience, though.
