I saw them perform the album at the Hollywood Bowl in October. Sold out 17k. Fans were definitely there for them, not for action bronson or Paris Jackson for sure, i don't think they will have any issues drawing.

I feel like that's a regional thing? The last time they were in Boston (on the Make Yourself run) they played a 3,500 capacity theater. I forget whether it sold out or not, but if it did it wasn't until much closer to the show.

I'm sure the shows will do fine. The opener is solid with decent crossover that'll make it feel like a decent value (plus the album play). But I'm not expecting to see a lot of them fully sell out.

    Things have changed.

Yeah, regional one-offs are never indicative of national pull.

Funny seeing Thursday surrounded by bands like Bush, Daughtry, OLP and Big Wreck.
Side note: I would totally go to a tour with these 4 bands.

Yep. The facebook event page for the Tampa show for example lists all 3 openers.

Has anyone been to the SIlent planet tour? The way it's listed on the Atlanta date, Johnny booth appeared to be playing 2nd, but from setlists, it looks like they're opening. Anyone know which it is? There's also a band added on the Atlanta date (Wiltwither) and I can't tell if they're just this date or have been touring the whole time but now I'm assuming that they're opening so are JB 2nd or 3rd?

I don't want to get to the show any earlier than Johnny both is what it comes down to.

Someone on Reddit is claiming that one of the yet-to-be-announced bands on the San Pedro NOFX show is Propagandhi. Should be taken as a grain of salt, I assume, but would be cool

There's a few spots that name might fit. So it could make sense! The fact that it's an "independently" promoted show could also work in favor of this being a thing. I know I'm using that loosely... But it's not a LiveNation event and I think that's the key thing. Hah.

There's a bit of precedent for this too, TBH, because they also played the 'festival' date in San Francisco on that Fat Wreck 25 tour that happened a few years back.

It's just one date but I just got a BandsInTown alert saying he was playing Big Night Live here in Boston on 5/24 the day before he plays Boston Calling. Probably an "aftershow" for the festival (assuming BIT is correct).

as someone trying to figure out what time Silent Planet goes on for that exact same show so I can show up a few minutes before that... you should call and ask the Masq for both of us, haha.
