That went a direction - just to clarify, my original comment was about their music and their social media acumen. Hoping for something to happen so they can get "canceled" is a bit of a stretch from that. I just think they're bringing down an otherwise pretty solid tour, but that's just my opinion...again.

On a funnier note but still dismal, some interesting nuggets from this Semafor article regarding Conde Naste and Pitchfork as it pertains to this festival:

- Conde higher-ups recommended that Pitchfork should "reunite" Oasis and The White Stripes to boost ticket sales (because surely if Oasis were to reunite they'd totally do it at a 2nd-tier festival in the US vs something like, I don't know, Glastonbury in the UK)
- Conde higher-ups and NY people who went to the festival thought it wasn't "chic" enough

I haven't been to Pitchfork fest so, perhaps someone else can weigh in, but I thought one of the main points of the fest was for it to NOT be chic and have all these ridiculous VIP options.

 

I certainly worded that poorly, I did not mean I want anyone to get abused or hurt. I just think they are cringe and the things he has done / said should be grounds for cancellation and I was hoping they did based off of that. Because I wasn’t sure why we were fucking them. I did not mean it in any other way. I know it wasn’t taken that way and I understand how it came across. But I am not a “psychopath”, don’t “have shit for brains” or anything else. I poorly worded it during a break at work. Again: I don’t wish or want for anyone to get hurt or abused or anything of the sort. I just wouldn’t mind if they went away. My apologizes for the poor choice of words.

Sounds like a lot of fun...but MSG is ambitious....they did Make Yourself at Radio City so find it weird theyd do this one in a venue 3x its size (unless they are involved in some tiktok trend that I am unaware of)
