Website says more punk rock legends tba, so they're all in on old punks only.

 

Full tour is never gonna happen. They have families and fulltime jobs. It's gonna be weekenders and occasional festival appearances

 

New festival in the Twin Cities area.

you dont have to sell out to be successful though. if youre getting 700 people in 1000 cap rooms thats still better than selling out 400-500 person rooms

have you seen the crowds for their UK tour currently ?

 

I don't know why, but SLS seems WAY bigger in the UK than here. I'm always stumped when that kind of stuff happens.

 

SLS couldn’t even sell out a 375 cap venue last time they headlined in Chicago (2021) and Oso Oso couldn’t sell out the same venue in 2022 (nor a 300 cap in December 2023)

I hope the tour does well but some of the rooms definitely may be a bit ambitious (like Chicago being a 1,000 cap) because it doesn’t feel like either band has grown drastically in size.

 

Yea, I got a buddy over there obsessed with them and acts like they're huge and if you look at the top listening cities on spotify, 3 of the top 5 are in the UK.

They do nothing for me. Like a poor mans Menzinger's and that's really not saying that much considering they're hardly a powerhouse & household name either.

Maybe they just have a sound that the UK isn't producing? Either way, not my thing and I've given them plenty of tries but good for them finding success somewhere.

Ah gotcha. Forgot they were touring with the Foos this summer

 

At least with the Knocked Loose tour, I can take a dinner break in between Speed and Knocked Loose if I decide to make the effort to travel to it.

Those are some ambitious rooms for the SLS/Oso Oso tour, but the show should be fun. Metro show in Chicago would be fun if I still lived there.

Speaking of the Foos touring, anybody hear anything about them announcing a 2nd leg? My local venue (Pittsburgh) teased a date before the first round got announced back in the beginning of October, and the support is gonna be a big factor on if/when/ how much I drop on tickets, if we even still get a date.

 

Word is it got cancelled, I think? I don’t recall where I heard that, but I remember hearing that plans for the second announcement got scrapped

 

Everything they've released since Josh Travis joined the band has been pretty solid. Would see live if it was a good tour package.
