Let's just say I stopped watching a bit after halftime and started playing Battlefield which I am awful at because I knew no matter how awful I am at Battlefield I would never be as awful as the Texans were last night

 

I think this is the year the Texans really want to test my patience.

I just got done with class and there's a drink on my desk with a straw next to it. Idk whose it is. Lots of people sit at my desk throughout the day. It's from Starbucks and the label says it was bought at 10am but nobody has drank from it. Confused. Not gonna assume it's for me and drink it tho! Put names on things ppl.

 

I just got like a 100% pay increase, which is pretty tight. Today has been cool so far.

 

Thanks, guys! I haven't had a pay increase in like 10 years so I'm super excited.

The internet is out at my house so I decided to come to the library because I need the internet.

I'm now on chorus while watching a Halloween parade of kids walk around the business district dressed up.

It's adorable but also distracting.

 

ok this turned dark because someone passsed out and the ambulance is here and taking them away.

 

i've realized over the last two weeks that i get depressed by the placement of the furniture in my house. i usually rotate / move the furniture around about four times a year but have done it a lot lately - almost every 4-5 days - because i don't really like the turnout. tonight i think i finally found a new placement i like a lot and it has really improved my mood.

i am a strange human being.

 

There is some WILD shit going on at my job right now
So recently a bunch of people have had cash deposits go missing, when we do our cashout and we owe the restaurant money we have to put it in this intense deposit bag and put it in a safe. Whoever is in charge of like accounting (or whatever position is in charge of making sure the company gets all the correct payments from sales and stuff) has found that some deposits are missing..MEANWHILE one of our supervisors just kinda dropped off the face of the planet (the majority of ppl are seasonal employees and she had been talking about going travelling at the end of her contract which was up soon anyway) and another super had to cover all her shifts. When the servers and bartenders who have missing deposits were asked about it all a couple people said that Katie (missing supervisor) offered to drop off their cashout stuff (including cash deposits!!)
So long story short, it looks like Katie stole a bunch of money from the company and took off. Who knows where.

When I was a shift lead at Starbucks, we had to take the previous days deposit to the bank if you worked the opening shift. I don't know if it was because the opening shift required me to wake up at around 3:30am, or just my overall hatred for working there, but there were many, many mornings I actually considered just driving off with the money.

It was only a few hundred dollars, so not really worth it. But still.

 

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm really glad Vine is going away.
