    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

ITTC is a top ALK3 album for me. I think it’s because it really reminds me of FHTI, which is my favorite of theirs

They didn’t land for me but you have to remember that the song is written from the perspective of American youth and how they’re witnessing the country crumble.

There was a photo of an empty cough syrup bottle the band posted during that album cycle that Matt had emptied just to get through recording. He was totally fucked in multiple ways during that album.

    We’re ranking?

    FHTI
    Goddamnit
    GM
    Crimson
    MICF
    BHE
    Shame
    This Addiction
    ITTC
    A&I

some of that is simply because I didn’t listen to the band for a while.

The only song I really return to on Goddamnit is Nose Over Tail and I think I like the acoustic version on Damnesia more somehow.

I love most of them and like all of them, especially when the deluxe editions and EPs are factored in!

What was everyone’s first Trio album? Mine was Agony & Irony after seeing the Help Me music video on Fuse.

Side note: is From Here to Infirmary missing on US Apple Music for anyone else?

Tragic. I guess I will listen to the Past Lives version where poor Danny sounds like he inhaled sandpaper

Yeah, still missing. Also dated as 2013 on Spotify. Not sure what's going on.

I just never return to that record tbh and I’ve been a fan ever since Infirmary first came out in 2001. It has some classic tracks for sure but it also has some ROUGH songwriting since they were all kids when they wrote it lol

Yall need to include the self titled compilation in your rankings. That is an amazing collection of songs!

I completely missed it and have always considered it an album. It’s up there for me.

I left S/T and Remains off but they're absolutely top shelf Trio. I'm sad that Exploding Boy isn't on the S/T on streaming services, because I'm very used to it due to listening to the CD for years. Fortunately you can still find it if you search for the Pocket Bomb compilation.

Definitely their best since Crimson in my opinion. I’d have to say it slots in like this:

    Good Mourning
    Goddamnit
    Crimson
    From Here To Infirmary
    Maybe I’ll Catch Fire
    Blood, Hair & Eyeballs
    Is This Thing Cursed?
    My Shame Is True
    Agony & Irony
    This Addiction

This record is so good! I'm in the camp where I thought Cursed was also good, but this is better even. They really sound revitalized, and I think Matt and Dan writing together in person really paid off. I do wish there was another Dan song or two, but Matt's been on a roll the last two albums, so it could be worse.

Break and Hot For Preacher (mainly the riff) are just stuck in my head all day.

    I can't rank BH&E yet.

    Good Mourning
    Agony & Irony
    From Here to Infirmary
    Crimson
    Self-Titled
    Remains
    Maybe I'll Catch Fire
    My Shame Is True
    Goddamnit
    Is This Thing Cursed?
    This Addiction

Shame is great but has some Matt clunkers. Ditto ITTC. ITTC is decent but was a disappointing Dan effort for me too. Wasn't a fan of Worn So Thin, Little Help?, and Pale Blue Ribbon. MSIT has the much better Dan tracks AND the Broken Wing EP. Goddamnit is a classic but the production and song writing is yes a bit...dated. This Addiction definitely my least favorite in the discog and the one I come back to the least. Dan's tracks are okay, but his weakest B-sides to date. Matt's tracks are VERY meh, lacking a true stand out strong track that he's usually able to whip up for every other album. I loved hearing American Scream in Scream though haha.

Everything above those is stuff I've definitely talked about in here before. Crimson was probably my #2 when it came out but as time went on I got kind of sick of it. It's probably the album that has moved up and down the most on my list.

I find this band’s catalogue really difficult to rank.

I think the only thing I know for certain is Good Mourning is my favorite and This Addiction is my least favorite.
