I'm a fan of that podcast! Started listening with their As Cities Burn album-by-album series. Just checked out their episode on Pedro the Lion "It's Hard to Find a Friend."

Been listening to Kye Kye so much lately. Gosh. One of the best bands that never got enough cred.

 

Saw them once at the anchor church in Nashville. Wow all my friends wanted to date that singer.

The ironic thing is Fantasize was really ahead of its time. It holds up so much now.

 

It super was, I remember thinking the vocal style reminded me of early Billie Eilish before she existed

 

Got my FIF box set and am very impressed. The dumpster fire is a nice touch

 

The live album is pure gold

I just put out a new single today for anyone who might be interested. For fans of Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson, and maybe a dash of Anberlin. :)

 

Hadn't heard of these guys till now but this is tight! Wonder why I didn't know of them while they were on Facedown?

 

I have the original vinyl records SMLXL did and it’s interesting to compare. There are aspects I like more of the SMLXL versions, particularly the spines using the original artwork font. The box set has the same font for all the album names. But the new versions have sharper logos/fonts. Also the album cover colors are different…some of the SMLXL ones seem more true to the original color. But then again, the new ones have liner notes/inserts…so yeah haha

 

Been listening to a bunch of Another Michael lately and that guy's voice reminds me of Dan Haseltine in a big way on certain songs so I started going back through Jars of Clay records and then found this playlist on spotify so now I'm basically back in middle school at youth group

 

Glad to see Josh Garrels has a new single, Watchman, out today. Only 9 months after the last (ha!). Hopefully the full record's not far behind at this point.
