    Things have changed.

There's no way their last show will be in Arizona.

I mean..it wasn't supposed to be..and if I'm not mistaken Mendez lived there at one point...I don't know why it couldn't be.

I also don't think their last show would have been in Japan. I bet they do a show in Jacksonville to wrap it all up.

Good point, I missed that Japan show before. Seems like they'd do one in Jax or LA as an actual final farewell.

Heading to the Philly show in a few weeks..does anyone have what time each band goes on? Thanks in advance!

From the two shows I went to, YC went on relatively early. I think it was 9:15 and 9:00, respectively.

Am I the only one thinking there may be a 2nd and final leg of U.S. dates in the spring? Covering some of the smaller cities this current tour never hit.

I can't see them ending their 20 year career in a place like Des Moines, Iowa. No.

I was thinking this recently as well. But I don't know if Jacksonville has been all that kind to them during the more recent years of their career (I could be mistaken)

But I would think they would do the last ever show there, or at least in the US.

Yeah, I think it will be a special show billed as the final one. I don't think they'll unceremoniously end their career in Tempe on a Wednesday. (No offense, Tempe!)

But they are already scheduled to play Jacksonville on 11/18. Ryan and Sean are really only the two "original" members. I don't think they hold Jacksonville close to their hearts.

Wish they would do an Ohio show in March too since they skipped us

They've got to have some sort of final show to announce. Idk maybe I'm just spoiled by the way Motion City went out (I can't imagine a better way for a band to call it quits than that final weekend), but it seems that if you're planning your break up (not just announcing it one day), you'd do something special for your last show. Or at least announce that show as your last. I agree that it just seems strange they'd go out on a rescheduled show on a random night.

Having a whole second leg of tour would be kind of a low blow, in my opinion, cus I'm sure a lot of people are traveling pretty significant distances to catch this tour if it's not coming by them. I'm sure they've got something up their sleeves though.

Did Anberlin do their final show in their hometown? I can't remember. Yellowcard's breakup is eerily similar to theirs.

You mean announce dates and then weeks later, after people had bought tickets to travel thinking the band wasn't coming to their city, announce more? Then have Riot Fest announced as their final show, only to play another show the next night?

I think the way MCS handled their last tour was terrible, personally. Some of it was out of their hands, but a lot of fans were really upset.

Haha ok touche. I was happy, because it worked out perfectly for me. I'm from Chicago, so I went to Milwaukee to see them on the actual tour and then I saw them at Riot Fest and the final show. They did do pretty much exactly what I just said Yellowcard shouldn't do. But if I remember right, they were upfront about more dates being added, so it's really just the final shows. Their biggest mistake was announcing Riot Fest as their final show, then announcing the aftershow later.

It's so tough to plan a breakup tour to keep everyone happy. Even the way Anberlin did it was sort of weird, albeit logical.

Very true, there's just no way to make everyone happy. You can't hit every city in every state/country, and not everyone can be at the last show. I just still have to imagine that Yellowcard still has a final show up their sleeves. It just doesn't make sense for them not to have a show that is billed as their official final show.

I really like the idea of announcing the breakup and then doing one final Warped Tour run. It gives casual fans a chance to see them one last time and it gives diehard fans a chance to get ready for the end. I saw Anberlin three times after they announced their breakup and I will see Yellowcard four times. I think they both handled their breakups very well.

Except motion city didn't do it in their hometown which was a joke.

I mean I think it makes sense. Chicago has clearly always been a special place for them, and it's a bigger city/a little more centrally located, plus there was already a big even that would appeal to a good majority of Motion City Soundtrack fans, so if someone was traveling to the show they could make a whole weekend out of it if they chose too, rather than flying somewhere or driving far just for one Motion City show. I don't think there's a rule that says your final show has to be in your hometown. And it's a 6 hour drive from Minneapolis to Chicago, so not exactly impossible for someone who truly felt they needed to be there. Like I said though, you're not going to be able to make everyone happy and of course I'm biased because it worked out amazingly well for me, being that I'm from Chicago.

And wherever it was located, that last MCS show was something truly special. I've never been to a show like that. Which is why I just can't see Yellowcard's final show being a rescheduled date from their farewell tour on a random wednesday night in March. They have a big blowout planned. I just don't know where/when. Hell maybe it'll be Riot Fest weekend in Chicago again.
