Well thankful they added the last line in there to basically say they’re not breaking up, but that doesn’t make any of this less weird.

Everyone keeps saying the reason is because their label contract ended, but that just doesn’t add up for me. Their contract ending was not a surprise, so why would they book these 2024 shows if not having a label was going to fuck it up?

yeah, yeah, yeah bands don’t “owe us anything” but the people who had shows canceled have the right to be disappointed, and even fans of the band should agree that there’s a layer of unprofessionalism here. They’ve canceled more than a dozen shows in the past 6 months or so, even with valid reasons, it still sucks for everyone. I’ve had two canceled appearances myself - had tix to the SLC show in August that got postponed once then canceled, and had tickets for Alter Ego this past weekend.

The previous article about this made it seem like them fulfilling their recording contract meant they were done with that label, so they cancelled all touring obligations to ensure their label didn't take a cut of their pay for performing at these shows.

So, in that sense it's odd that they would say it's "unforeseen circumstances".

Agreed. From an operations no way this was an oversight knowing their contract was coming to an end.

For those more versed in touring, isn’t the label who provides tour support though (crew, production, etc)? So if Paramore is label-less, they have no tour support?

They're opening the European leg of the Eras Tour.

"They will see you in the next era" pretty much confirms the whole "re-record the discography and do a mini-Eras tour of their own" rumors that have been floating, right?

I have seen others say this won’t happen bc then it would mean money to Josh Farro, which Hayley wants to avoid.

Those are the two dumbest posts I've ever read on this site.

I don't follow Paramore, does Hayley still have beef with Josh? Seems weird with his brother being in the band

  16. Certainly. Josh has shown to have conservative, anti-LGBTQIA+ views which are the total opposites of what she, and the rest of the band, stands for.

No clue what the relation is between Josh and Zac but family ties can be complicated, I assume.

You'd better sit down. It's a fact that this happens. At least until they cancel that too.

No, that’s not at all what I take from this. I think it’s a double meaning, that they will see everyone this summer on the Eras tour, and that they will also have started a new “era” themselves. They already indicated they were working on new music/wanted to release more.
