The Aquabats on coachella is the best

 

Militarie Gun and Narrow Head getting the hxc adjacent slots this year.

 

A run of aquabats -> sublime -> no doubt would be so sick

 

Cool spots, but man, that has to be the weakest Coachella lineup I've ever seen?

 

Would be a fun weekend but isn’t anything special outside of the sublime and no doubt bookings

 

My thoughts:

1. Some wild bookings I wouldn’t expect from Coachella that are pretty cool (Deftones and The Aquabats in particular stick out)

2. insane they got No Doubt

3. “Sublime” is intriguing. Wonder if this is the OG lineup with Brad’s son?

4. Mildly angry they got Blur. Was really hoping they’d do some headlining shows instead. I’m dying to see them


I’d honestly be down to go this year, but idk about the pricing

 

I was at one of no doubts last shows back in 2015

 

When I was hypothesizing lineups for When We Were Young 24....and thought they'd try their best to not do repeats yet... I thought a base of No Doubt, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Sublime, 311, Rancid was a strong possibility

Hopefully we get a Forest Hills date or something in these parts but I imagine Blur will be a one off

The final sum 41 show is the Toronto show next January

 

Didn’t someone post that Bring Me was gonna be over here in the spring or is Sick New World their one off for the states until late this year?

 

What are these UO TOCS 20 year tour rumors? When are THOSE dates supposed to come?

 

I kept thinking that January 2025 was super far in the future; then my dumbass remembered that we’re in 2024 and this shit is a year away.

 

Probably accurate…i could see a few other west coast dates maybe around SNW.. But they are planning a summer release for Nex Gen and id assume a late summer/early fall tour

 

That Toronto show is the day after my birthday.... I am tempted.

I’m just gonna say it, I’m very underwhelmed by the festival and tour announcements thus far. It feels like everyone has toured to death post-pandemic and this year is going to be quieter.

According to the rolling stone article the set will be 90 Minutes for dookie and American idiot then 35-45 min for other stuff

Gonna have to get BJA to cut out the "Heyyyyyyyyyyyy-ohs" if they want to play both in 90 min since the run time for both is about 1:40. My guess is they will do CLOSE to it complete but not in full.
