yea very slow year so far. only 3 shows bought for (better lovers in april, postal service/death cab in may, and riot fest).

Ive been getting much more picky lately about what i see and always have the really good tours nowhere near me (code orange/gel, miliatrie gun, ect..)

im gonna wait for 25 dollar concert week to buy for any ampitheater shows (green day, alanis/joan jett, AFI/poppy/30secs2 mars, etc..)

With ubers / drinks etc. the average small venue show probably cost me $80-$90 plus a few expensive fests / travel shows, so not sure I'll hit the 30 from the last 2 years with some of the other goals I have. Already skipping 3 or 4 in January to make sure I start the year disciplined.

Bloody hell that's a an lot of gigs u been to so far!!

 

I only been to 7 concerts so far this year and usually I go to 1 or sometimes 2 gigs a month although I did went 3 gigs in the month of May but out of all the months later in the year.. November is one of the busiest ones in a long time for me! Literally 1 gig a week over the next 4 weeks!

 

Mammoth WVH @ o2 Institute Birmingham

I got home earlier after seeing Mammoth WVH live for the 2nd time but I got to see them at their first ever UK headline show in general and they were fucking awesome!! The band sounded tight as fuck, both old and the new songs off Mammoth II sounded fucking massive live and Wolfgang Van Halen himself has stepped up big time as a performer and frontman live, getting the crowd going, having a lot of fun but most of all and I can tell its not an act.. he seemed genuinely humbled and greatful to be there, I mean he said it onstage and doesn't take any of this for granted.

They said they r coming back to the UK soon, when I don't know yet but I would definitely see them live again when they come back over here!!

 

Saw the killers hot fuss show in Vegas on Friday, 10/10 show. Then last night said fuck it cause I saw I prevail and halestorm were in town. That was definitely an interesting mix crowd wise.

 

Did the Incubus Morning View tour with Coheed opening. First time at an arena show and it was actually a pretty good setup. Could see everything from my seat even with everyone standing. All seats in the pit was weird to see though. Also my first show since having a baby.

Brandon can still nail those old songs & I was stoked they played Vitamin at the end.

 

Think thats a wrap on shows for me this year. Already got some big ones I'm looking forward to in 2025:

I have king gizzard tonight and that may be the last and will put me at 26 for the year. Generally a pretty high quality list of shows.

Highlight so far was sleep token at red rocks and im sure tonights show will be a blast and up there. Not quite as genre varied as i would have liked, and i skipped a bunch but was trying to save money. To some, it was probably electic, but it was mostly all rock, though a pretty wide spectrum.

Overall, a good music year.
