I just bought tickets for the Portland date like 3 days ago, so it would be my luck that they cancel the entire tour the same week lmao.

Is it possible that Gel attempts to just continue on as the headliner of the tour? I know about all the logistics of that of the headliner dropping off, but the end almost leaves the door open for them to just step in as headliner with the rest of the tour package.

  9. AJJ and Greet Death are support on the Say Anything tour, which is much better than Say Anything deserves.

Gel could not fill those venues. If they quickly got all the promoters to find venues and then there is an issue with refunds, etc

Man I just want to see Teenage Wrist lmao. This is the second tour they were on that I had tickets for that got cancelled (first was COVID related so they were obviously one of many, but still). But I get it, I'm just grasping for straws on this one.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see smaller tours popping up with all the bands though.

yea at this point I’d assume they have their merch ordered, so I’d assume they may try to pick up some of the scraps, however that is.

Wasnt going to the CO tour but if that cancelation means Soul Blind will have some make up shows in its place for cheaper, I'll be happy

Gel sold out the same size venue back in November here in Michigan but it'd have to be rebranded on short notice. Probably easier to cancel and rebook elsewhere if that's what they decided to try.

I honestly think at this point Gel have enough buzz around them to sell out some of these venues. When they played Austin with Drain last year a lot of the crowd seemed to be there for them.

Location is everything of course but when they came here it was a desert unfortunately. It’s too much of a logistical challenge to have Gel take over. Refund and start fresh.

Given the right circumstances Gel could sell well at some of those venues but they've also been touring like crazy and I could imagine people might not double up on seeing them headline again if they saw them recently. I saw them 3 times between June and now without even trying.

Speaking of Drain I'm mad the Neck Deep tour is $55 after fees lmao

Teenage Wrist posted the Code Orange post and said they'll be back with updates soon. I have to imagine most if not all of the tour package is scrambling to find something to fill those dates or time frame. And for what it's worth Gel and Teenage Wrist already had some routing dates together with Soul Blind, so I could see them just trying to build a tour around those.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I hate when hardcore bands open pop punk tours. The energy’s not the same, there’s almost always a barricade, most fans of the headliner take offense to anything other than push pitting… it nerfs the hardcore set rather than adding energy to the pop punk sets.

would far rather see it the other way around, where pop punk bands play to a predominantly hardcore crowd & you can have a truly high energy pit + stage dives for a band that usually would be tamer.
