Hammock takes me back to high school, I had some stuff from them and tons of post rock bands on rotation back then. This collaboration is a pleasant surprise.

Yes but the Hammock version is completely different other than the vocal and the piano. The record has 9 songs on it and that’s all I sent them for each track. They totally reimagined them all in their own way.

 

That’s fucking beautiful.

 

That one time when your band broke up because things just felt so over and then fast forward to making an album with one of your all time favorite artists. Life is cool.

 

Ryan I would love to hear your feelings from the first time you listened to these tracks back. It must of been so special to hear such a big part of your life re-imagined in such a beautiful way. What perfect tunes to throw on for the little one too :)

 

I mean you kind of nailed it. Hammock is a top 5 all time artist for me. The songs just have entirely new meaning to me now.

 

Bet I haven’t heard a Hammock record in… I dunno, 15 years? Looking at their discography and can’t believe how many albums they’ve got out now. Guess this will be a nice reintroduction

I don't really listen to too much YC but I love Hammock and ambient music, and Ocean Avenue is a classic pop-punk song. The idea of these two artists collaborating is a real WTF moment. In a good way. Excited for it!!!
