Spurs would rather fire Pop than trade away Wemby. Wild that it’s going this badly.

 

Having a scorer like Monk off the bench is really nice.

I'm still unpacking things from last night. The center situation is definitely still something that needs figuring out. Wendell makes the most, but he's just not bringing much right now except for the occasional 3. I want to be cautiously optimistic about Okeke, Houston, and Queen, but last night was probably more of an anomaly and the 3 point shooting will come back to earth sooner than later. Paolo just keeps impressing me, especially considering he was doing most of the ball handling on top of everything else. The stretch where he scored 18 straight even though the defense was keying on him was special.

 

Paolo was a menace last night, I was mortified every time he had the ball in his hand the kings just could not stay in front of him

 

Pop and Belichick on the outs in the same year?

 

Really hoping some more moves happen before the deadline.

 

it’s a bummer it’s going this way for the spurs but pop taking the fall is the obvious way it would go. he’s in his 70s. wemby, as bad as the team is, is the future of the franchise lol

 

Also, still relevant, relating to Perk:

 

Pop definitely is mailing it in this year but I also think he should get another year to set something up. The team as constructed is terrible and Wemby is still adjusting to the NBA game. You can tell he gets gassed a lot still especially when all these smaller forwards are bullying him around all game. There’s a shitload of picks for the future or even maybe to get someone over and that could change some things. But Pop should probably retire in the next 2-3 years anyway.

it's a real yin and yang of how fun he is to watch and how miserable the rest of this team is to watch
