Part of me is secretly hoping they're quietly doing a remaster with the graphics from Octopath Traveler. I mean, they're releasing new figures and stuff so they're finally actually acknowledging IT EXISTS.

 

Xenogears is tricky though, because if you do a remake instead of a remaster then you're basically redoing half of the game. I cannot fathom remaking it and still doing what they did with Disc 2.

Hey I actually LIKED disc 2. Sure more gameplay would have been great but since the game was already text heavy to start with, I didn't mind.

Would I love a fleshed out disc 2 tho? Fuck yes plz.

 

Besides, I don't know if I'd trust a new team to do Takahashi's work justice.

 

Just make it a joint between Square and Nintendo, and have Monolith do it.
