Ugh really wish this was on a weekend and not a Thursday so I could make the trip out for it.

    Holey Moley.

I get that Travis was/is a huge star with a track record of selling lots of albums & tickets, but he never struck me as an artist that will stand the test of time. Kinda feel like he's going eventually go to the same way as Limp Bizkit did. Huge name for a very specific time period with millions of album sales and sold out arenas, then quickly get forgotten about, and then 15 years later have a resurgence due to nostalgia.

The Chicago show tonight that was rescheduled from last month is basically sold out with only a handful of tickets throughout the arena left.

    Chicago didn’t need a 2nd show

  5. Haha there's a $60 difference between these 2 available seats. So dumb.

I'll take the L on this one. Obviously others mileage varies. I can't stand his voice after repeated efforts. There's nothing sonically pleasing or enjoyable about it to my ears and it ruins otherwise pretty good music, though a bit too on the doom metal sort of sound. I also don't understand how he's not lost his voice, sounds so unsustainable.

For bands that I do understand blowing up, thanks for all the talk about Militarie Gun in here. Just got a ticket to their show and am enjoying their stuff a lot. Never Fucked Up Once is insanely catchy and is going to be in my head, and on rotation for a while.

I'm not saying he's irrelevant, just that I think this is the beginning of his slide down.
His Astroworld tour in 2019 sold out 5 nights at arenas in NYC. And that was before the post pandemic boom in live music. He was headlining the biggest festivals in the country and there was talks of him gearing up for a stadium tour.

The stadium tour never happened, and cities that he used to do 5 nights in are now only 2, with those second nights selling poorly. He's not gonna ever fall to the level of HOB venues or anything like that, but I think in a few years you're gonna see him on the 2nd line of festival lineups instead of as headliner.

the hype for utopia was insane but it didn’t match up to the hype just because half the album is Kanye leftovers lol

A Third Eye Blind/Yellowcard co-headliner would be wild.

The music is what i said (the vocals ruin whats mostly decent music - tho still not entirely my style of metal). And probably not the exact right genre decription, but they do a lot of slow, rhythmic, thick riffage which is why i pulled doom metal outta my butt. We can move on now.

  20. The Maine, I guess? Can't think of any other state-named bands that would be a good fit for that tour.

I don't care at all about seeing Third Eye Blind anymore, but YC/The Maine would be fun.

I feel like TEB/YC should be a coheadliner based on how well YC did last summer. That is definitely a tour I would go to even though I was hoping for a YC headliner since they didn’t come to Oregon last year.

  25. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I can't see them going full arena for a summer tour, but they both can headline amphitheaters now.
