lol forgot that I had Paramount Plus, went to cancel it and they just gave me two months free of service (and immediately set a calendar reminder to cancel it then).

 

Haha - I’ve done this with Paramount and Starz all year long. Paramount offers the free service for two months and Starz offers 1.99 for two months. I just set a reminder to cancel before the full charge billing period is up and they offer again every time without fail

 

I’ve been doing the same with Starz. Paramount didn’t offer me anything when I cancelled, though I signed up for the free month to watch The Curse so maybe they will this time

 

They can get fucked to hell

 

I'm sure the TOS gave them plenty of leeway to actually do it, but if they really charged me ~$150 last month for another year of prime, and then suddenly make me pay more for half the reason of getting prime... that really shouldn't be legal

 

It’s an optional fee, that’s how they get you

 

Let's be real, we all knew Amazon is a fucking horrendous company, now they just charge you more for it

lol so I got on a chat with Amazon being like "would it be possible to either get the free video for the rest of my sub or cancel my prime subscription" and they took that as a "I want to cancel my prime subscription" without any confirmation

way to call my bluff. just wish I had like, watched S2 of invincible first

Prime now charging 2.99 for ad free streaming starting end of January, got the same email as below

 

I keep Prime more for the delivery and shipping than the streaming. It works well for me shipping wise still. Hell I get stuff within just a couple hours sometimes even

 

Only recently have I had issues, I think it's whoever they use in my new area. Lots of packages been going missing and not delivered since I moved here. They refund me but still annoying. Either way it's dumb just trying to milk people for more money, you know it'll go up and up and they'll probably charge for ad version eventually

 

Have they considered not spending a billion dollars on bad shows instead?

 

Eh I like prime originals. More than Netflix
