yeah it's very strange. unless this thing is like 15 songs it makes no sense.

Is next gen supposed to be a full length? I though it was part of a series of EPs?

It was supposed to be but with how long it's taking I feel like it has to be a full length. We have 5 songs already and it's still not out until summer?

Do we know for sure the released songs will all be on it? Maybe they've shifted directions

Wild. Most likely an album now.

Pretty sure it's been marketed as an album unlike the first one. I'd be surprised if it wasn't considering how much it's been pushed back.

  12. Good for him, I can see him having a fruitful career as a producer/songwriter for tons of acts.

And… good luck to the rest of the band, I guess. I want to say they’re screwed so bad but I honestly don’t see how they carry on without him, unless they start bringing in outside producers from now on.

Mick Gordon did some work on Post Human if I remember well?

They probably will be fine, they were pretty popular before he joined too.

    Composer, but never composed.

i also think they will be fine. they pretty regularly use outside producers and co-writers these days - zakk cervini was on tour with them for months this year and last year making the album. they'll soldier on.

must be a painful split though. the way jordan spoke of his and oli's process and relationship in interviews demonstrated something special; they brought out the right things in each other and created huge waves within their sphere of music because of it.

Weirdly I was Googling this last night as I noticed he was missing from their most recent live shows which struck me as odd.

No doubt it will be a big void to fill as he was (with Oli of course) the catalyst of their sound.

Wow, wonder what happened to lead to this outcome.

makes sense NextGen is taking so long if this is the case

I’m curious as well, last post on the albums development that I remember was from September where the band outlined that they weren’t happy with the quality.

Yeah that's 100% gotta do with why the album is delayed. Wow.

He’s gonna have a MONSTER career. If the videos BTS show half of what he brings to the band, he’s adding almost all the bigger hooks and tying them to the rest of the song. He will earn megabucks doing this for a zillion other artists if not just as himself. We all know he can sing.

This reads like they kicked him out or fired him and fucking hell, that seems like a dumb decision.

hands like houses kicked out their longtime vocalist this year and their new song with their new singer is not good.

Yeah, imagine kicking out the guy responsible for taking your bands sound to the next level.

I'm just curious because if it's to get ahead of a story of abuse or something ok, but then where does the inaction about Oli leave them lol

saw some folks on Reddit saying he requested a larger share of revenue (seems the band splits it all evenly and he felt he deserved more). I would’ve guessed oli takes more but if not (well first, cool to see) then pretty gutsy, for better or worse, to ask for more than the face of the band lol.
