Ha, it's weird to me seeing the username "Polaris" show up on Chorus; as that was my old username on AP.net back in the day. Good choice.

 

Was excited to get my record in the mail today until I opened it and there was a hole across the top of it. Other than that, it's a wonderful album!

Same problem here, I heard a few others mention this as well.

Been listening to this all day except for a quick break to listen to the new Encore podcast. "Through" is stuck in my head big time. Love the title track and closer, such a great ending to the album.

 

Yeah it's annoying because another order of mine was damaged before it even got to me so I had to go through getting that replaced earlier today. Shipping box and shrink wrap had no holes so it looks like it was just one that missed quality control or something. They're sending me a new copy that should be here on Sunday and thankfully I can just give them the damaged one instead of shipping it back.

 

It's good.

 

Chorus of It Matter is huge, wasn’t sold on the intro but yeah this hits

didn't like the opener very much but sure and certain is a perfect single

the chorus melody falls flat, the drums sound irritates me and i dislike the keys riff throughout

 

I'm sure the comparison has already been made, but serious "Book of Love" vibes on the title track

 

I ordered the CD from Amazon (comes with digital copy) and now it won't be delivered until next Wednesday. I rarely have issues with new releases being delivered on the day of release. I just found it interesting that even a CD can't be handled in time after hearing everyone's vinyl issues or whatever.

 

Ah that's a bummer. I ordered mine off of Amazon and have Prime so hopefully anyone who ordered from the band's site won't have the same issue. Just odd that I'd have two damaged things in one day too. Never had this problem with them before.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, I got the turquoise vinyl from the band, but I can wait 'til Tuesday. It's still better than my Yellowcard self-titled that has yet to arrive and no indication when it might.

 

What do you define as "latter-day" JEW? I could see that song fitting in with almost any era post-Clarity.

I get total Clarity and some of the softer tracks from Bleed American vibes from that song. One of my favorites on the record.

 

Pre-ordered the vinyl through the band's website too, mine's not scheduled to arrive until Wednesday. Pretty bummed cuz the only thing I wanted to do this weekend was spin the record unceasingly.

 

I stopped at Target on my lunch break to grab a few things, and I glanced in the music aisle - no Integrity Blues to be found. I just thought that was interesting.

 

Nice! The Amazon was just a plain ol' black record. I tend to just order through there since I have Prime and no longer want to pay for shipping on other sites for the same thing. Variants are cool but never a deal breaker for me.
